Celebrating 10 Years
Congratulations to Atlanta Symphony Orchestra conductor Robert Spano for his 10 years of service with the ASO. During my time interning with the ASO, I had several opportunities to meet and work with Mr. Spano and he is truly a remarkable and genuinely nice person. Robert Spano has done sooo much for the Atlanta Symphony, especially after the death of city favorite Robert Shaw. He seems to be a super nice man and I love all of the energy that he uses when he conducts. Its really magical
I am a student at Cornell University as an Urban and Regional Studies Major. I am taking a class called Race, Gender and the Internet which evaluates the evolution of the internet and how it relates and affects our perceptions relating to gender and race. For our final project, we are required to develop a blog. I am also interested in the arts, I have been a classical violinist for 11 years, which is why I choose to focus my blog on theatre, music and the arts in general. I have also been an intern with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra where I focused on community development and community engagement for local city schools. Another reason that I have choosen to do a blog relating to classical music is because I think it is important for everyone to incorporate classical arts into their lives. I know for several people, the classics can seem very intimating which is why I want to strive to present all of the content in the blog in a way that everyone can understand. Ultimately I want my blog to be a safe haven for everyone to ask burning questions regarding the arts and learn, listen and watch some cool stuff!
